This is an important opportunity to learn the basics of high quality paint analysis from an expert with over 30 years of conservation experience. In one day you will receive background training in planning, on-site analysis and hands-on preparation of paint sampling. At the end of this course you will be equipped with the fundamentals of undertaking paint sampling for yourself while at the same time understanding the pitfalls and benefits of this important analysis.
Salmond Reed Architects is proud to continue its practical seminar series by offering this one day workshop on architectural paint sampling and analysis. We are all interested in continuing to develop our professional skills. Understanding architectural paint research and its practical application is an important field of built heritage conservation. This seminar will provide a professional forum for learning and discussion of this topic in more detail.
Salmond Reed has recently managed a project to preserve Sargeson House at 14A Esmonde Road in Takapuna.
This modest fibrolite bach belonged to one of New Zealand’s foremost authors, Frank Sargeson, and was a meeting place for many of his fellow literati.
