This landmark building at the foot of Mt Victoria in Devonport required exterior repairs and maintenance. SRA specified and managed re-roofing, brick re-pointing and stone repairs in the summer months of 2008-9. Of particular significance was the repair method adopted for the concrete turret roofs which had suffered the ravages of Hauraki Gulf weather for many years. Turret repairs incorporated a blend of traditional lime slurry with modern admixes to achieve a conventional and hard-wearing finish.
