Inside the character house, spaces and finishes were crying out for remodelling and renewal, which included wall panel detailing, combined with a carefully selected colour palette and elegant fittings throughout.

We and our clients are thrilled with the combined team effort and the result is a striking home to be enjoyed and appreciated for the years ahead.

Christ Church Ellerslie is a fine example of the European Gothic church architecture of 1880s Auckland. It has the added significance of accommodating an important and stunningly beautiful set of Clayton and Bell stained & painted glass windows, dating from 1885 and gifted to the Church.

The former Auckland Chief Post Office is one of New Zealand’s most recognisable historic buildings. Salmond Reed Architects have provided specialist conservation advice since this iconic landmark, dating from 1912, was first converted into the Britomart railway station in 2004. The exterior has been restored as the cornerstone historic building of New Zealand’s largest transport infrastructure project, the City Rail Link.

In 1993 Salmond Architects was commissioned to prepare a Conservation Plan for Auckland City’s main Anglican church, St Matthew in-the-City, at the junction of Wellesley and Hobson Streets.
