Our projects

Our work covers a wide range of projects, from the restoration of significant heritage buildings to modern designs for new properties. View some case studies of our work below.

The former Arts Building, now known as the Clocktower stands as a distinctive and beloved Auckland landmark. Since its design and construction in 1923 by Roy Alstan Lippincott and his partner Edward Billson, the Clocktower has remained the heart of the university campus. Salmond Reed was tasked with designing a new accessible entrance.

Auckland

Now known as The Birdcage, The Rob Roy hotel is a Victorian building built in 1885, of significant heritage value. In 2010 the hotel was moved to enable construction to be carried out on the Victoria Park Tunnel.

Freeman’s Bay, Auckland

With its distinctive turret, Allendale is a prominent feature in the Ponsonby streetscape. A corner bay villa of Italianate style dating from the 1890s, its construction combines both timber and rendered brick.

Ponsonby, Auckland

This interior retrofit involved converting two floors in the south wing of the University of Auckland’s Clock Tower building into one interconnected space to accommodate the Vice Chancellor’s Suite.

Princes St, Auckland

Winner of an Excellence Award in the Tourism and Leisure Property category of the Property Council of New Zealand Rider Levett Bucknall Property Industry Awards 2019.
